Birdie

In honor of National Bird Day, we named this 11 year old sweetie Birdie!  Birdie was in a northern Virginia shelter before flying up this way to find her forever family.  She is doing well with the other dogs and cats in her foster home.

Birdie weighs just 18 pounds and is deaf from previous total ear canal ablation surgery plus she has limited vision. Birdie loves to follow her foster around the house and enjoys their yard too.  Her ideal forever home is with someone who is home often as she needs to be taken outside a few times a day.  She is very scared in the car and will cry the whole time in the car - moving or sitting.  Otherwise Birdie is very healthy and oh so adorable! Her foster parents think she may be a bunny at heart and lovingly call her Bunny!
