Millie is a ~4 year old, 25# spaniel mix, who was found as a stray in rural Georgia.  Like many dogs from the south, Millie is heartworm positive.  On the bright side, Millie has finished her injections, and she will get off of crate rest in mid-January.

Millie has many wonderful qualities.  She is super sweet, and she loves to give her people kisses (she is a big licker) and to receive belly rubs.  She takes treats very gently.  Millie is house-trained and crate-trained.  She only barks about 3 times a week - when she hears a siren or when she sees large dogs on the path across the street.  In the car, she thinks she belongs riding shotgun.  She looks out the big picture window when left home alone, and she patiently waits for her people to return.  She seems to enjoy playing with soft toys the most.

Millie is looking for a home in the suburbs.  We don't think that she has been exposed to city life, and we think it would be overwhelming for her.  After she has completed her heartworm treatment, we think she would enjoy an active family who would take her jogging or on long walks.  Millie would prefer a home without cats and any kids should be 8+ years old.  No e-fences for Millie.  She is currently being fostered in Annapolis, MD.
