Rudi

Rudi is a 10-ish year old spaniel-shih tzu mix.  He weighs a solid 22 pounds and is the cutest cock-a-tzu mix with adorable short legs!  He was a stray at a Richmond shelter with mats to his skin, so he needed to be completely shaved down, but his hair is growing in nicely now.  Rudi likes to be the center of attention and will bark when he's left alone, so no condos or townhouses for this cutie.  With his short legs, steps are a challenge for him, so he prefers a home with few stairs or someone who will carry him around.  He loves to follow his person around and sit on the couch with you.

Rudi has been great with everyone and for everything.  He continues to work on his house training and rides quietly in the car.  Rudi was diagnosed with low thyroid and Cushing's Disease and takes his daily pills easily with food.  The monthly cost of his medications is approximately $80.
