Bailey

Bailey is a 4 yr old, very active buff beauty. Sadly, she has had to go through many changes in her young life. Bailey and her sister (who has since been adopted) were loved by their original family, but then financial problems arose and these siblings came to OBG. Bailey was adopted but then returned when she had accidents in the house. She has received a thorough examination and there does not appear to be a medical reason for her accidents. Perhaps a patient foster or adopter is willing to work with Bailey and help her complete her house training. In Bailey's original home, her family placed a jingle bell by the door and she would ring it to alert them that she had to go outside.

Bailey has a great temperament and loves people, especially snuggling in someone's lap. She does seem to have a timid personality and is easily frightened. Bailey needs an adopter who understands that common things may cause her to become fearful.

Bailey has lived with other dogs and would probably do better with a submissive canine sibling. In the past, she also lived with cats and did well with them. In her last home, Bailey was the companion of a teen. She does well with older teens but younger kids scare her with their sudden loud movements. In her last home, Bailey would sometimes run out the front door. It's imperative that her new family carefully monitor where Bailey is, to keep her safe from harm.

Bailey could also use some assistance to improve her leash manners. Perhaps a general obedience course once she settles into her new home. Bailey does have an allergy to some doggie vaccines but the veterinarians can handle that by giving some medications at vaccination time.
