Oldies But Goodies Cocker Rescue

Edison

Young | Male | Adopted

Likes Dogs?
Yes

See those crazy dreadlocks in Edison's before picture? That wasn't an attempt at doggy high fashion, it is a prime example of a very neglected Cocker. Despite the need to pull out twigs and thorns and shave his coat completely off, Edison was ecstatic to be getting the love and attention of the groomer. He really soaked up any bit of human touch that was bestowed upon him.

Edison's "other life" is clearly in his past as this energetic young dog wiggles and wags his way around his foster home. At 1-3 years-old, he is an energetic boy and would probably appreciate frequent daily walks and perhaps even a yard to run and play in.

Edison has a wanderer's spirit and will gladly go on walkabout if he's not kept securely on a leash or behind a fence. His new family will need to be especially vigilant about keeping this little one safe. Fences will need to be secure and people (especially kids) need to be careful when opening gates, going in and out the front door, etc.

He'd love to bond with his new family in a basic manners class. This smart boy already knows Sit and Down, so picking up new skills will be a breeze! (Did we mention he's fully housebroken?) Edison is a bit iffy around some other dogs, so that needs to be assessed on a case by case basis. We do not have first hand knowledge regarding his interactions with kids or cats.

Edison had double knee surgery for his luxating patellas and is all healed and ready to meet his forever family. If you would like to meet Edison, please email us.
