Lincoln is one of the three pups (Harrison and Reagan are his siblings) that were transferred from another rescue situation. We believe this 9-10 month old is a cocker/lab mix but whatever his heritage, he and his siblings received the cute genes. He does need to gain some weight and quality groceries should help that along.

Lincoln and his brothers did not receive a lot of human attention and lived most of their lives outdoors. Even though inside living is new to Lincoln, he is housebroken! He may be shy at first and will need some time to acclimate to new people and situations. Recently, Lincoln took a toy from the toy box and then he was stumped as to what to do with it.

Lincoln is a pup who will need a special home. Since Lincoln has only known the comfort of his brothers, he would love a home with another dog to keep him company. We have also discovered that Lincoln prefers a home where his family is home more than they are gone. At this point, we do not have first hand knowledge in regards to how he feels about cats and kids.

Lincoln is beginning to realize that attention, love, and other good things come from people. Lincoln will need some patience and confidence building in a nurturing home.

Since Lincoln is still a pup, he has the energy level of a young dog. His family should be prepared to offer organized play activities and enough exercise to wear him out and keep him mentally stimulated.
